We know that many pet owners have questions about common conditions, treatments, procedures, proper care at home, etc. Our team will always strive to provide that information directly, but we also want to provide the following list of links to helpful handouts, as well as organizations and informational sites that play a role in veterinary care.
Lake Grove Veterinary Clinic has partnered with PetSites to provide you direct access to your pet’s vital health information. Owner accessible information is a valuable tool for you to help us provide the best care to your pet!
Globally, nationally, regionally, and locally, there are multiple organizations and agencies that provide support to the veterinary industry and to pet owners. For your convenience, we’ve provided the following links.
The American Animal Hospital Association, or AAHA, is the only organization to accredit companion animal hospitals in the United States and Canada. Veterinary Hospitals are not required to be accredited, unlike human hospitals, and as a result, only 12-15% achieve the standard. At Lake Grove Veterinary Clinic, we believe that the AAHA standard represents an important commitment to our clients and patients. To learn more about AAHA, click HERE to visit their website.
The American Association of Feline Practitioners, or AAFP, is a member organization that advocates for quality veterinary care of cats, who have unique medical needs and benefit from specific handling standards. As a member of the AAFP, Lake Grove Veterinary Clinic values and relies on the AAFP standards to guide our daily care. To learn more about the AAFP click HERE to visit their website.
